Eva M. Noles is a nurse, an educator, a volunteer, an author, and a community leader. She was the first African American in Buffalo to graduate from the three year nursing program at E.J. Meyers Memorial Hospital Training School of Nurses in 1941. In 1965 and 1967 respectively, she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and a Master of Arts degree in Education from the University at Buffalo. Until 1941 when it moved into the Clement Mansion at 786 Delaware Ave., the Chapter did not have a permanent headquarters in Buffalo.
